The DXB Index prices one fixed monthly basket of everyday Dubai costs, using the official tariff in force each month, and expresses it relative to January 2026 (= 100).

Sources and limitations
Fuel: UAE Fuel Price Committee monthly announcements. Salik and parking: Salik and Parkin tariffs, with changes applied from their effective month. DEWA: published slab tariffs and fuel surcharge. Where a historical DEWA surcharge is not recorded, the earliest recorded rate is carried back, so months before it reflect fuel, Salik and parking moves only.
The index covers costs set by tariff. It excludes rent, groceries and school fees, which vary too much by household to price fairly. Series starts April 2025. Download the index as CSV.
